Some stand in the storms
and sob at their soaking,
some scream at the clouds
demand sunlight and shine,
some scramble for umbrella
and complain of the winds that
buckle them.  

Some strip down
in the torrent, some
lift their palms to the sky
and throw their head back
wearing laughter
and little else.  
Some sing to the sound
of raindrops,
some shelter others
from the thunder.

You, the light seeker
though the day is grey,
you the shade
for those sought by downpour
and soak,
you the steady hands when
all the world is shaking.

Some stand in storms
and sob at their soaking,
some dance, and splash
in the puddles.
