I know you wrinkled,
marked from stretch
like tattoos left,
testaments to growth,
yours and those you
carried.
I know you grey, frost kissed
and shining,
confident in the color shift
from umber to
smoke.
I know you laughing,
ache in the center of you
from doubling over,
folding from joy.
You, I know forwards
and backwards
and unadorned,
shouting in pleasure
or silent with
frustration or sorrow,
I know you,
I have always known
you.
