What story I’m currently working on:

And I’m slowly continuing to increase the wordage! While not a knock it out of the park week, I’m back to steadily writing, which is a joy and relief. Through December and early January, I was wondering if I’d lost my mojo. But I’ve passed the midway point of this book and I’m getting closer and closer to a conclusion–which if my nebulous bullet points turn out the way I want them to might be a rip-roaring end.

What I’m editing/marketing:

I still have Saving Throw and A Thief’s Crusade in limbo where they’re just spinning in circles for awhile. My goal for this year with them is to have answers for you of where they’re going (hopefully out in the world, because I love both books so much!). However, I realized it’s okay for those to take time, since again, they begin two new series. Even though Eros Tales is on pause, I’m still going to continue writing that series until I have all five books ready for a lightning release in 2024. And after I finish Tempting Ballad, both Whitfield Files and Discord’s Desire will only have one book left in both series! GOALS!

Line of the week:

Leo leaned back, digging his elbows into the mattress. He looked up at Renn, and the moment their eyes met, Renn’s breath snagged. That gaze flickered with a yearning strong enough to set a city ablaze. Like he could even hope to fight against the surge in his chest in response, the sharp twist of longing that made it difficult to think, to reason, to breathe.

Renn hadn’t said anything while Leo talked. What could he say? Most words during his worst times just made him want to punch people in the face. However, as he straddled Leo and their gazes refused to budge, the words reached his lips at last.

“Let me take care of you tonight,” Renn murmured, the softness in his voice this foreign thing, like he wasn’t the one speaking.
