Ffridd Fedw

Lesser known cairns and settlements to visit further up the Moel Goedog trail - see the nearby sites on our page for more. Ffridd Fedw round hut, enclosure, ancient fields and kerb cairn, making up an ancient settlement in Gwynedd. Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance in December 2012 showed extensive survival of early cultivation ridges to the east and north-east of the settlement, well beyond the bounds of the scheduled area. Such remains are extremely fragile in the face of potential upland pasture improvement and modern ploughing. The aerial photos are linked from our page.
