Bad influence review and blog tour, Charleigh Rose

This was an okay book. I had a bit of a hard time connecting to both characters to be honest and it went from there.I think there could’ve been real depth to Jesse, but it just wasn’t explored enough. With more of his POV, more of his struggles, he could’ve turned into a really heart wrenching character.Allie was tortured, but instead of seeing that, she just ran away from her problems and ignored them.I also think this book started too abruptly. I think it needed a longer run up, more background, instead of just dropping us straight in. Jesse and Allie’s first meeting perhaps? But we get none of that. Sure, there’s an attempt to create an emotional connection, but I just couldn’t feel it.I also felt like this book read more YA than NA. To me, I think it would’ve suited it well, but them being in college just didn’t hit it for me.Like I said, this was an okay book. It has promise but ultimately fell short, sorry.
