Personal note: I had the pleasure of reading this story, and it was a page-turner. Kayelle Allen's writing is phenomenal. The world she built in this story contains rich details, and the characters are intriguing. I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. There is a lot of sexual tension between the characters as Senth has been forbidden to become intimate with NarrAy. After all, as his boss reminds him, he's a professional doing a job and shouldn't allow any distractions. Much easier said than done when you are a young man, and you're working with a beautiful, genetically-enhanced woman who secrets addictive pheromones. Senth and NarrAy are a great couple, and I look forward to reading more about them as I continue the series.
