Promised Land

We’re putting out a new single today. It’s called Promised Land and it’s my favorite song yet. Travis Shinn and Jeremy Danger shot at a video for it in a barren California desert. They wanted to make a video that was only lit by roman candles and I took the bait. They assured us they didn’t hurt but it’s not entirely true. I caught on fire a few times and had to visit the tailor to fix the burn holes in my jacket afterwards.

This song is written by Amy and I. Actually, I was in my head a little too much and not feeling productive and had a nice talk with Mark Lanegan about being too much in the head and it was inspiring enough to produce this song. Chris Coady mixed it at Sunset Sound and Bob Weston mastered it.

You can watch on YouTube.

You can listen on Spotify.

Or Apple Music.

Or purchase on Bandcamp.

We burned the LOVE incense on stage last night at Hollywood Forever. Tonight we burn DEATH. If you would like to burn along, here’s the link, they are gonna be gone soon. Click Here.

PROMISED LAND

THERE’S NO RESTING FOR THE WICKED

IMAGINE HOW TIRED I AM

I PRAYED FOR WARMTH AND PEACE

BUT SOME WINTERS NEVER END

IN CALIFORNIA BURNING

OLD HAUNTS AND A NEW ROMANCE

IN LIFE WE LOVE

IN DEATH WE DANCE

I GET A LITTLE TOO HIGH

I GET A LITTLE TOO LOW

TAKE MY HAND

TO THE PROMISED LAND

I WANT TO MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE

I WANT TO MAKE YOUR DARKEST DREAMS COME TRUE

CHERRY KISSES ON THE LIPS AND

ALL GOLD GROWS UNDER YOUR RAINBOW

CAN I JUST SPEND MY LIFE

BURIED ALIVE INSIDE OF YOU

IN LIFE WE LOVE

IN DEATH WE DANCE

I GET A LITTLE TOO HIGH

I GET A LITTLE TOO LOW

TAKE MY HAND

TO THE PROMISED LAND

ITS A LONG LONG LONG WAY TO GO

ITS A COLD COLD COLD ROAD ALONE

BLUE DAYS

BLACK NIGHTS

PURPLE HAZE

WHITE LIGHT

ITS A LONG LONG LONG WAY TO GO

ITS A COLD COLD COLD ROAD ALONE
