Friday Five

1. Finding out that son needs to take meds on the holidays or we're all miserable. Sigh. Since he turned 10 yrs old it's been harder. Been in contact with specialists for advice. It's hard as he's on his best behavior around strangers but me? Double sigh.

2. On to better news:

Finished reading THE PLEDGE:

Amazing dystopia! My YA Books Central review:

3. Reading this:

So far really enjoying this paranormal where it's a crime to have any paranormal ability.

4. Yes, I saw BREAKING DAWN. Verdict?

What worked:

Loved how they showed the Edward and Bella relationship. This is more about that and I think it was a good idea to break the film into two parts to show us Bella before the change and then during her time as a vampire. Also I thought they handled the imprinting very well. If you know me, I didn't like this at all in the book. But the way they show it I was thinking, yeah, this works.

What didn't work?

Some really bad dialogue that was corny. The girls behind me giggled too so I know I wasn't the only one who thought this.

And Jacob. Very stiff acting and no chemistry at all. Zip. Nada.

If anything Edward was more alive in this movie then in any of the previous movies.

Oh, if you see the movie, check out the very last scene. I swear it's imprinted on my brain now!

5. Have tickets to see this today:

Skip the ad and go right to the video. Can't wait to see HUGO. Son read the book and really liked it.

**Guilty pleasure:

Getting my hair done. Finally!
