Potential Change.
Life sometimes could be thought of as a full time job and one with no time to really look at ourselves. What do I mean by this? Some might feel that self-reflection is a pointless or fruitless task because after all, we are what we are. But is that really true?
I believe, within all of us is the potential to change, not just mentally but physically. The point is how much is the force of will to do so and of course what is the reward for a new you? Any change will need a basic understanding of where we are as a person. It may not always be very comfortable being honest with ourselves but even the exercise of reflecting on our own perception of ourselves is often really worthwhile. There are several significant reasons for doing this. We all have a preconceived picture of ourselves but a bit of self-reflection can warrant a far more factual assessment and can be a bases for achieving what one may have thought to be impossible.
The limiting factor for the achievable, can usually resonate in our own mental state of mind, and to overcome that it is necessary to fully use the imagination and go through each step seeing ourselves successfully completing those important actions for achieving personal goals. The more this is done the probability of completing the real task successfully is far more assured.
Even the IQ can be increased by utilising and stimulating, more effectively, the brain power that you had in the first place. In this sense the brain is like a muscle and exercise has a positive affect on its capability to achieve far more by expanding it in terms of levels. Active practice at solving puzzles will indicate patterns of procedure that can improve speed and aptitude. Identifying and grouping objects is a starting point for many brain training tasks and in asking questions it will help to improve stamina for memory recall. The imagination and checking assumptions are invaluable for removing obstacles to a solution.
Age should never be seen as a barrier to accomplishing something new. In fact expanding the mental and physical capability should be a lifetime occupation and this is for the simple fact that it is very healthy and indeed contributes to staying young in mind, spirit and the feeling of the body.
When it comes to developing the physique there is an important barrier whereby overdoing things can be far from positive and in fact detrimental to one’s health but when properly warmed up new muscle and strength is gained by progressively increasing the limits of capability at the maximum point.
Resting properly between exercises is not just good for building up a healthy pace of increased activity but it is vital to attaining the full benefit of any exercise. Many people might have painful experience after an overindulgent spate of exercise and consequently the following day hardly being able to walk as every muscle screams in agony. Doing things the right way means that any potential for change can be properly enhanced and harnessed. Usually shortcuts are not the answer and can only lead to short-term improvement and long-term failure. Ultimately any potential for change has to start with a desire for it. It can be extremely useful to take a look at oneself and decide if they are happy with how they are progressing because often improvements of any sort can be greatly beneficial and game changers when it comes to how happy we feel.
