J. K. Rowling: The Tales of Beedle the Bard

Dear Author,

thank you for giving the proceeds of a whole book to charity. Lumos is helping children in 12 countries so far and planning to expand worldwide, all thanks to your kindness and effort.

The book behind the project, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, appears inside Harry Potter. It's a collection of wizarding fairy tales. All of them original, all of them well-written with an authentic fairy-tale feeling to them. Dumbledore's comments, however, tell us nothing new. The footnotes are redundant for readers of the seven Harry Potter books. I expected something more. At least, some more stories. Five fairy tales, one of which we already heard in Deathly Hallows - that's meager. The footnotes seem longer than the stories themselves. I enjoyed The Tales of Beedle the Bard, but I cannot help wishing you had written more tales and less comments.

Yours sincerely
