Self-publishing is starting to get more mainstream and lose much of its stigma, and for that I am glad. There are a lot of great books out there that wouldn't exist had self-publishing not been A Thing (yours included in that--loved them both!). Large publishers could use some healthy competition, and I hope more third-party book vendors that work with libraries jump on the bandwagon and distribute more of the self-published titles. High-quality books belong in the hands of readers, no matter how they came to be.

Agree completely! I wish Amazon could partner more with libraries and donate some of the higher-selling self-published titles they sell because you're absolutely right--they need to reach the readers! It's wonderful that so many reviewers and competitions like SPFBO are shining a much-needed spotlight on indie books to help them find their readership. And thank you for your kind words! You really made my day!! ^_^
