Is your baby‘s name top in your state? The released their top 100 names by state for 2017. Of course you can sift through their massive database, or check out our list of top five names per each state.
While our will tell you that names like and for girls and and for boys will definitely find their way on to most states, some new unexpected names like , , and took top spot in states like North Dakota, Maine, Vermont and Iowa.
Girl Baby Names
Surprisingly, top five name in the country, , did not rank as a top name for any state and only ranked first Florida. Meanwhile was the top name in 28 of the states, was top in 14 states and in 10. In lower rankings of the top five names came beautiful names like in Hawaii, in states like Indiana and Maine and in states like Mississippi. Based on these state trends, with taking top spot in multiple states, 2018’s release may see that name taking a higher ranking, possibly even making it in to the top 5 names in the country!
