Writing isn’t hard. My grandfather was a coal miner–that was hard. On the other hand … publishing is a b!+¢H. Somedays, putting on a hard hat and going down a hole seems like a better deal. I mean, you might die, and you’ll definitely get black lung, but there’s insurance for the first and public assistance for the last. At least you know you’ll get paid at the end of the day, and you’re not setting your children up for poverty.
