Math Mess

I ask you:  how is a kid supposed to learn ANYTHING, let alone math, when their textbook looks like this?  Are we sure kids suffer from ADD?  Maybe it’s just the books that have ADD.  I mean - look at this.  

This isn’t even the worst page.  It might be extreme to execute this textbook’s designers, but how did this happen?
