Maybe I’ll write a real advice column? Here’s one tip for coffee shops: if she’s on her phone, then ask her some kind of question about the app she’s using. Or tell her you’re thinking about upgrading your phone, yada yada yada. Is that the new one? If she’s reading, then start a conversation about reading because you’re looking for a new book. Or come up with a random quirky question to ask her. Maybe that’s all lame, but at least it gets the ball rolling!
