02. What is one of your character’s biggest insecurities? Are they able to hide it easily or can others easily exploit this weakness?
39. When people look at your character, is there some assumption they might make about them just by appearance? Is that assumption correct?
49. What is something that your character has nightmares about? Are these frequent? Do they heavily affect your character’s mood?

02. Felix is a lieutenant in the Army of the One World. He’s one of the deadliest weapons the year 2524 on earth has to show: a sharp mind, perfect body, exceptional military training, unending stamina. However, he is not allowed to have any feelings (no one in the his world is) and that is, of course, a great weakness. Especially when he begins to question everything and everyone around him.
He gets so confused, and weak, he almost dies. Literally.
“What are you doing, match girl?”
“I took your uniform off of you. It was killing you.”
“Keep your filthy hands off me.”
Not to mention, he has no idea how to behave when he starts falling in love.
39. When people look at Felix, they see a tall, strong guy, with steely eyes and a will of iron. They see intelligence and strength. And they are afraid.
As they should be.
49. No one in the world of No Ordinary Star has slept in decades. They take these pills that make your body not need sleep or food (among other things.) If he were not to take them, however, he would have so many nightmares about Astra being killed, he would rather stay awake.

02. Astra’s biggest insecurity is men. She has been heavily abused in the past, and she can’t stand even being near one, without shaking in fear. She hides it well, however, and no one could tell.
39. When people look at Astra, they see a girl who is dressed in rags, malnourished, and about to die. She might be all these things, but she is not weak, and she’s an even deadlier weapon that Felix. Her enemies underestimate her more than once, and that is their downfall.
49. Astra has nightmares every night. She keeps seeing her father being killed over and over again in her sleep.

She wakes up to screams. She doesn’t
panic, because this isn’t the first time she’s woken up to screaming -or worse.
She merely opens her eyes to assess the seriousness of the threat.\The first
thing she sees is an open mouth, teeth glistening as it shouts curses at her.
“What?” she squints into Felix’s frantic
eyes.
“Nothing,” he replies, clearing his
throat as he gets up. “You were… making weird noises in your sleep.”
Astra sits up, pretending to yawn, but
she’s actually shaking pretty badly. The room is dark -Felix must have closed
the shutters on the windows again. What is it with the soldier and closed
spaces? Her throat feels hoarse as though she’s been screaming, her tongue dry.
It was the dream again. It followed her all the way up here. She can’t escape
the memories, not even in her sleep.
“It’s…” she needs to clear her throat.
“Sorry. I was suffocating.” Oh, merc. She didn’t mean to tell him that.
“I saw,” Felix replies.
