Mothers Scriptwriters
Shamita and her 10-year-old son Sonu were waiting for the guests to arrive at their place. Sonu was excited to show his cars to Mitu. Mitu, a cute 8-year-old girl, and daughter of Neeta, Shamita’s best friend. Shamita and Neeta knew each other from last 20 years and they enjoyed each other’s company a lot. They wished to take their friendship to the next level of being relatives. They wished to get their children married to each other. They made sure Sonu and Mitu meet each other very often so that they become best friends like them, inseparable. Mitu and Neeta arrived home and they were welcomed with an open arm. Shamita and Neeta started their usual banter and kids went into their play room. Sonu and Mitu were very comfortable with each other and started playing.
‘Do you know our mothers want us to get married?’ said Sonu.
‘Like mom and dad,’ replied Mitu.
‘Yes. But only when they stay friends like this, otherwise we are free to marry anyone we wish to marry,’ said Sonu.
Unfortunately, after two weeks Shamita and Neeta had a big fight and they never met each other. Sonu and Mitu were not allowed to ask questions about it to their mothers.
Twenty years later Sonu decides to know Mitu’s whereabouts and he set Google at work. Luckily, Google did its best to him. In the few days, Sonu met Mitu. Their friendship turned into love. They knew their mother would never agree to this. They decided to let them know and invited them at a local restaurant. Sonu told them about how he met Mitu and about his decision to marry her. Mothers looked at each other in anger and then heartily laughed.
‘Your theory worked, Congratulations!’ said Shamita. Neeta hugged her.
Sonu and Mitu exchanged surprised glances and they realized...
Moral: Keep clam because mother knows best.
