when you have nothing else to give

When you have nothing else to give what do you do? I mean when you're on empty, this means there's nothing to take, right? So then why do people keep expecting you to give them something (whatever it is) if you're at zero?

Even though you say you have nothing they keep coming because they expect you to always be there. Where do you get this something to give from? Where do you pull it from within yourself? The answer to this question is part of the reason you are on empty. Some people thrive on being needed, but those who are tired see things differently. They need a change.

Why do these people come for your help?

I'll tell you why, they expect you to find something to give them because you always do. Some way, some how you fix it for them and they run along. Only to cycle back around as the need arises. Until you get tired. This is the point where you turn and realize it's time to rework this thing. Because this is no longer working for you. It might be working out great for them but you are at the moment when you say, "I'm done."

In this season, I've found that people are getting tired of the takers in life and are now doing something about it.

The givers have changed how they respond to the leeches. They no longer feed them. The givers have learned to let them go because they are woke on the fact, they could never give people like this enough. Takers don't know how to give. Because takers are never satisfied. They will take you for everything you've got if you let them.

God did not set us up to be taken advantage of. In all of His love and grace He knows when to tell us no. It's time to mimic our Father and practice using the word no.

Colossians 4:6 (NIV) Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
