Stephen Headed to EARTH

Essential Art Repository of The Heliosphere (EARTH), a new NASA program to preserve important works of art, literature, and science beyond our planet, has selected Stephen King to pilot their program.

Following the interviewing and reviewing of hundreds of US artists, writers, and musicians, Stephen has been selected to be the first of several artists from around the world to head to the International Space Station and deposit the collected works of mankind into the station's databanks--along with his signature on the media itself.

NASA's stated goal is to ensure that their extraplanetary archive can (or will) survive any type of catastrophe that might befall the planet in these uncertain times, preserving the accomplishments of humanity in perpetuity. King, for his part, looks forward to this adventure and is sure it will serve as inspiration for a new story or two.

Cassandra Savel I have just sat here dumbfounded wondering what in the heck I just watched and how I got there. Yet alas, the people in the comments have saved me from my existential confusion. Not all heroes wear capes.

Right? That's exactly how I felt at the start!
