What's your favorite meal to have together?
Jake: That's easy - steak cooked as rare as possible
Shae just laughs.
How did you meet?
Jake: I was a firefighter and I got called out to his place - one of the neighbors had reported him for trying to set his yard on fire.
Shae: Go on.
Jake: What do you mean?
Shae: You can't just leave it there - was I actually trying to set my yard on fire?
Jake: Well, no.
Shae: New neighbors, they didn't know I was being safe and that I had a permit to do the work.
Jake: You were building a dragon. Calling me to you.
Shae: I was creating art, for which I was handsomely paid.
Jake: I could pay you handsomely now, if you want.
Shae: If that's a euphemism, you know damn well I'm up for it.
Jake: You said up.
Shae (pointing to just south of his waist): I sure did.
Jake: Excuse us, we'll be back for the rest of this in... oh, an hour.
Shae: Make it two.
Two and a half hours later.
Where do you see yourselves in ten years?
Jake: Same place we're going to be in a hundred years, in a thousand. Together.
Shae: I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around that, but I'm feeling better than I ever have and I'll take it.
What habit of your partner drives you nuts?
Jake: Shae likes to tease me by hugging other men.
Shae: Only the people I'm good friends with - you always growl
Jake: And that drives you nuts?
Shae (smiling like the mona lisa): If by drive me nuts you mean turns me the hell on every single time, then yes.
What one thing will you never, ever try together?
Shae: I don't think there's anything I wouldn't try with Jake.
Jake: A threesome. I will not share you with anyone. Ever.
Shae: You keep promising me forever and that's a really long time to be with just one person
Jake (growling loudly): Ever.
Shae (wriggles happily)
Jake: I think we need another break.
That's okay, the interview is done.
Shae: Cool

From Jake and Brent: At a bar after Brent’s car broke down in Jake’s hometown.
Where do you see yourselves in ten years:
Brent: Madly in love and married and living in New York. Jake: In love and married, living on a ranch in Texas raising bucking bulls.
What habit of your partner drives you nuts?
Brent: Jake tends to wear chaps and a cowboy hat -- and nothing else. Drives me to distraction every damn time.
From Jake: You complaining?
From Brent: Did it sound like I was complaining?
From Jake: Sort of.
From Brent: Clean out your ears.
What one thing will you never, ever try together?
From Brent: Bullriding. Ouch.
From Jake: Sushi. If I want raw fish, I’ll go down to the lake, stick my mouth in the water, and wait for something to swim in.
