By far the most impressive book I've read so far is "The Sun God's Heir: Return" by Elliott Baker. A real masterpiece and outstanding piece of literature. I can't wait for the sequel, of which he promises to send me an ARC.
Honourable mentions should go to "The Killing of John, John and John" by Elizabeth O'Neil. Not for the faint-hearted by quite superbly written. Well done Elizabeth.
And finally Shelby Londyn-Heath's "The Twighlight Tsunami" is a book that just needs to be read.
