Quirks: Spice up your story & dialogue

 


Janice Hardy’s article on character quirks addresses another key problem writers have: blocking dialogue. Too often dialogue is just an exchange of words. But once you’ve mapped our your character’s quirks you can add their gestures, movements, placement into the dialogue to keep the reader engaged.
