As I sit here at 11pm on the night before my second novel is published -
The Last Letter, I'm struck by how peculiar the last year and a half has been.
I'm not quite sure what happened to be honest. But by this time tomorrow, I will be the proud author of two published novels -
The Last Letter &
Fifteen Postcards; with one short story published in a print anthology -
Landmarks: 2015 National Flash-Fiction Day Anthology; and a poem published in an anthology published by Penguin - "Thanks Mum".
How did this happen?
I barely remember writing all those words, but I must have, because no one else did!
It is a dream, a happy dream. I don't think I've ever been part of such a supportive group of people before than this tribe I find myself in - the people who inhabit the world of books - readers, authors, bloggers, librarians (although I've always known that they are fabulous), literary festivals organisers & speakers & attendees. Everyone really.
And so I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for the reviews. Thank you for the encouragement. Thank you for the support. Thank you for the advice.
Love to you all.
