Taking a Water Break Until Halloween

GLass of H20 depicts a water break

Usually when I take a break involving water, it means I’m enjoying a day in or on the water windsurfing or stand-up paddling, or maybe hanging out at the beach. Since we are finally experiencing Fall weather, those leisure options are out.

This break is something entirely different.

How is your October going? Mine? Don’t ask.

I have experienced issues with images on my blog lately. Not only don’t some show up, when sharing to Facebook, the thumbnail won’t load, or I can’t pin the image onto Pinterest from the blog.

I’m working with the WordPress happiness engineers to fix the problem.

Is anyone else experiencing disappearing images?

To top it off, October is way busy with my teaching duties (read: grading papers and midterms for 145 students)! We are doing some traveling this month, taking extended weekends to travel up and down the West Coast. Yes, I can grade papers on the plane or in the car while hubby drives.

To add to my self-induced stress, during the last week in September and first week in October, I spent a lot of time and energy promoting my eBook Better Blogging with Photography. The promo was highly successful with several bloggers sharing posts and reviewing the book.

Never ending thanks to my blogging friends, please see this link.

With all this said, I am using the rest of October for a blogging break.

The WordPress weekly photo challenge theme this week is H2O (water). This photo (if you can see it) depicts a big glass of water (had to throw in the Full Sail Brewery glass for more water-themed fun).

I will be off the grid and I hope to use some down time to work on some blog structure TLC. My blog is migrating back to WordPress dot com from self-hosting this week, so there may be a hiccup or two that I just don’t want to deal with yet. Long story and worth a future post.

I need to work on my outline(s) for my next eBook ideas too, so I can start writing in the winter during the 7-week semester break.

I will limit myself to comments and likes to your posts but I will do the best I can to stay engaged.

Keep up with me on Facebook and Instagram, because with all this travel I intend to share lots of photos!
