Throughout my college years I was working on a story that was sort of the proto-BOX OFFICE POISON, focusing on a group of college students. One of the main characters was a spunky gal with the unlikely name of Jeopardy Mustard, who helps me kick off #Inktober.

I never published anything from it since, despite working on it for five years, I produced almost no “finished” art–it was a sprawling saga spread out over notebook paper, various sketchbooks, backs of placemats, etc. One of the characters was Jane Pekar, the only character from that story who made the transition to “pro” (though I think a few pop up in “The Ballad of Jane and Stephen” in the early pages of BOP).
