Learn to Let Go
Who has a problem letting go?
I wonder how many of you have a problem letting some things go. If you constantly worry about things that you haven't been able to do it will be your downfall.
I have had trouble with this myself. I sometimes have to clean my house a dozen times when I get home from work. Why? Let's just say a three-year-old tornado has run through. It used to seem as I could never keep it clean. I was frustrated and didn't know what to do. I decided if I wanted to get other things done, I needed to stop worrying about the little things. I know some of you are thinking that a clean house is no little thing. Well...it really is and if anything you can wait until the little one is asleep before you clean the final mess. It takes precious time away to go through and clean up when you know it will be back to the way it was before in less than two seconds.
So in short...let it go. Breathe and walk away. Use that time for getting things done. This is just an example. I'm sure some of you have bigger things to let go. If there is something keeping you from focusing on your career, find a way to work it out. Schedule it in at a certain time that day and get it done so you can focus on you. This may sound selfish, but if you are just starting a career you have to focus on you. I'm not saying forget about your family or friends...now that would be selfish. I'm just saying focus on your schedule so you don't have to feel selfish. You can have time for both if you can let go of the things that matter the least. Prioritizing is the key to letting go. Make a list. (Example) Family, Work, cooking, cleaning
Make sure the most important get taken care of first and if you can't get to the rest...let it go. Catch up another day.
Success can only be reached by those who truly want it. So let go of the little things so you can make room for much bigger things.
