I agree 100%! I always have an audio book in progress and a read-to-myself book in progress. Audio for walking and chores is the way to go!!

I mostly use audio for re-reads. I hardly have time to read everything new that I want, let alone re-visiting old favourites. I do enough walking that it gives me the perfect opportunity to make regular pilgrimages to visit old friends.
I have a long commute every day. Normally it would drive me nuts, but I actually look forward to it when I have an audiobook queued up!
I used to feel like I was "cheating" by listening but if I want to get all the books in that I want, it's a must! I also spend a lot of time on the road and it makes it pleasant. I've listened to Duma Key about 3 times now, when I'm between books. Slattery's performance is phenomenal.
I've been binging on audiobooks lately... I'm talking a few a week. I absolutely LOVE them especially while I'm at work. I'm a single mom and have a full time job and 2 part time jobs so I don't have a ton of time to sit and read. Audiobooks are awesome because I can listen anytime.
Those of us who are partially sighted or completely blind find it quite offensive when fully sighted readers state that audiobooks aren't really 'proper' reading. Some people have no other choice, so it's great that Stephen King is defending the audiobook market.
What a horrid thing for some people to say! I'm so glad that Stephen King is standing up for the audiobook market.
I don't like listening to audiobooks, but I think that they are great for helping others with visual disabilities to be able to read stories,
I love audio books. The only time I have to listen to them is before I go to bed. I have yet to make it through even one. Ha!
Is he walking with a laptop? Also I enjoy audiobooks while i'm walking because they distract my mind from what i'm doing
