You Suck was always kept fairly light on plot, partly because that’s just what I felt like doing at the time, but also so that, should it come to it, I could put the comic to a stop at any time without any super-pertinent plot threads left dangling.
And truth be told, I think “it came to it” a while ago… but it took me a while to stop being in denial about it. Because I mean it when I say this was a tough decision, and I don’t WANT to stop the comic. But, being (allegedly) an adult at this point, there’s times when I gotta choose between doing what I want and doing what will be good for my life. And right now, my guts are assuring me that it’s time to try some other things.
Thanks to everyone who supported You Suck and my other webcomics, and hey… I’m just taking a break from (free) webcomics for now. I’ll come back to them; I always do, even if I think I won’t!
‘Till then, as Anna said, I’ll keep postin’ about what I’m doing at the personal Tumblr, and aside from that, there’s various places to find my junk:
everybodysuperhappy.com is a new personal site I just opened a couple days ago. It includes a bunch of my old comics, some of which have been offline for a while. Yeah, including Wendy.
I will still try to stream whatever art I’m working on at Twitch.tv
And of course there’s a Twitter… and yep, money will always help fund any personal project I’m working on, so check out the Patreon, you just may find it worth five bux.
What personal projects, you ask? Well… aside from paid work for Slipshine, I’ll be trying my hand at game design again, this time armed with quite a bit of knowledge I didn’t have when I first dove into it a few years back, including knowledge about how game design actually works, how much it costs, and my own limitations. The first game will be an arcade platformer that is much muuuuuuuch simpler and less overwhelming than something like Princess Panic.
And yes, along with that, I do intend to help finish Dungeon Panic too.
All that bein’ said, I doubt this announcement has come as a shock to many people… but it’s just polite to, y'know, make it official. All things considered, 4 years is a pretty good run for a an obscure-ass comic. I still have great ideas for it, and I hope to come back to it. But for now, let’s see what the future holds…

not much else to say!
feels good to put a webcomic on hold without being in a fit of anger for a change (^◇^;)
