So I decided it’s about time I got back on the videogame...

So I decided it’s about time I got back on the videogame development track. which I started on with Princess Panic many years ago… and have since wandered away from, thanks to an ADD-addled brain.

Basically the plan this time is, rather than a full-length animated 2d RPG that would require a huge staff and million of dollars, mayyybe it would be more sensible for my first game ever to be a fairly simple arcade platformer of which I could develop an alpha version on my own.

I spent a few days workin on the sprite design of the main character and posted my progress to twitter, the goal being to take my “normal” comic style and push it into something more geometric.

The rest of my work on this will be mostly kept private, but of course this is just the sort of thing Patreon is made for, so yeah, if you’d like to see a lot more of this in the coming months or so, join on up. You’ll get updates if you backed the Dungeon Panic kickstarter as well.

Otherwise, there’ll be tumblr posts about it every once in a while, and the next one will be when I’m far enough along that I can say, with conviction, that I will finish it!

Her name’s Polly, by the way. Yes, there was a Slipshine comic about her recently. Yes, it was based on the game idea, and now I actually want to make the game.
