I can’t believe it’s April already.
Today is my not-a-husband’s birthday, which earned him breakfast in bed, an extra hour in the morning and then a lazy AM spent writing on our computers. Later on, there will be more people and sushi and a Lincraft sale (that part’s for me).
Also today, I received a rough draft cover for the first in a romantic fantasy trilogy that I only got a contract and edits for less than a month ago. Speedy Gonzalez, though I’m not complaining. Every time I look at my ‘Upcoming Publications’ tab, I feel I’ve accomplished more and more this year. At this point, however, I’m forced to slow down because I don’t have enough time to write new things at the moment as all my time is being dedicated to editing what’s upcoming.
Ascent: Of Elves and Men is a novel I first wrote in 2008 and revived on the off chance that it fit the submission guidelines for an imprint of a house two of my friends are published with. It is set towards the end of the dark ages in a fictional kingdom reminiscent of the British Isles, where magicians and elves rub shoulders with the ordinary folk.
It adds to the list of publications I had already set in my March sum up.
