OMG, What was that!
This was a complete brain frazzle and I am still busy analysing the shit out of it internally.
I'm not even sure which category of fiction this fits best into; as it contains a bit of everything; a sort of crossover and blurring of the genre lines.
If I had to take a stab at it; Mmm maybe a Dark psychological ghost story with romantic elements.
There is definitely a love story involved here, but it might not be quite what you're actually expecting.

LEEDS AUTHOR EVENT !
So ....
This past weekend involved Leeds Author Event #LAE18 ! And regardless of the snow trying to hamper the whole thing (irritating), we had a fabulous weekend. As many authors who could get there did, braving the weather to ensure the event went to plan (ish). My own stablemate, Rachel De lune, couldn't get there Friday night because of the damned white stuff, but Saturday morning she pushed and managed to brave the conditions, refusing to give up. As you can imagine, I was over the moon with that news because she brought our book Innocent Eyes with her which hadn't yet licked. I have now btw, several times 😂 And so the readers followed suit, getting there by any means necessary just to see their favourite writers and have a ball with each other.
Honestly, even with the problems, it was still amazing - just as Leeds always is - and showed that absolutely nothing - short of five foot drifts for some 😞 - could get in the way of book world ! Certainly not given that I almost sold out of books !
The strength of this community utterly blows me away sometimes. People rallied. They gave lifts to each other, went out of their way to show support, picked up books for each other, and even authors who were never going tried to help bolster the event and keep everyone on course. And because of all that, as usual, it worked, pulling us all together in a way that gives complete credence to all our words and thoughts. I did nothing but grin at the whole thing, all the time knowing that the greatest goodness comes from all sorts of places when going gets tough.
Readers, bloggers, authors, organisers - I salute you. You're all AMAZEBALLS in my eyes, and nothing can stop my smile this week. Well, apart from a little sulking and post signing blues. 😍
