As a child, Connie Huddleston loved history and dreamed about her future as an award winning author. However, she got sidetracked and became an Army wife, a mother, an elementary school teacher, an archaeologist, and an historic preservation consultant, all before publishing her first book! Now in 2016, she has published six volumes, all dealing with her first passion (don’t tell her husband and children) — our nation’s past. She’s even won her first book award.

Independence Day

As many of you already know, I have had a cast on my dominant left hand for six weeks.  Before that it was a large bulky splint for two weeks following surgery.  I did this to myself.  I have arthritis in both thumbs, along with my hips, knees, etc.  . . .  I had the right thumb repaired four years ago.

Another excellent storybook

I plan to read this to my grand niece and nephew. I know they will enjoy this unique story. As the second in the series, I can see M.J. Evans developing a whole line of Skullington stories.
