Nicci grew up in the Sierra Nevada mountains in a house filled with books and often buried by snow. Without a TV, she spent a lot of her childhood reading and writing in a journal. After a career in technical writing she quit to write full time. She is passionate about writing and reading books about women's lives, their friendships, their personal journeys, and their families.

Nicci lives in Southern California with her husband where they enjoy kayaking, bird watching, and time with family and friends. She is hard at work on a new novel.
