Author Kristin Groulx writes paranormal young adult romances, magical realism and paranormal thrillers. With a flare for the mysterious, a fascination with magic, and a passion for discovering love in its many forms, Kristin knew it was only natural to write fiction. She is also no stranger to traveling, having lived and explored the United States, Asia and Canada.

Her real life ghostly encounters are incorporated into her novels, and present a direct look at uncommon paranormal experiences. For the past decade, Kristin has dug up extensive genealogical research, ranging from tiptoeing around cemeteries and rummaging betwixt pages of census records. Her direct lineage includes several writers, journalists and editors, and perhaps even a few

Another vote for books!

As a writer, we only want the very best for our readers imaginations. Thus, we diligently create elaborate worlds and details, but leave enough out for the creative mind to fill in the blanks. I find this to ultimately be true when comparing virtually any novel to what is shown on the screen, be it in a television show or movie. Books take the cake.

That being said, I love a good int... Read more of this blog post »

“I would greatly trade
... a ring for a kiss
... a sweater for a glance
... a dog for a held hand
... a tear for a dance.”
Kristin Groulx, The Secret Promise: Return of the Wishing Star

“The stars- they hear us. They keep their promises. They know our hearts most secret desires," he said breathlessly.
"I wished for you.”
Kristin Groulx, The Secret Promise: Return of the Wishing Star

“ Love is timeless. I knew the moment," he whispered back.”
Kristin Groulx, The Secret Promise: Return of the Wishing Star

“It’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.”
Lewis Carroll

“I look back to those days and after, what happened… how it all happened… and how we got to now, wherever now exists, but it is the now nonetheless and forevermore. What I know now changes everything, but it could not be possible knowing without having known what I knew then and not having known what I know now. The knowledge was always there. I had only yet learned how to access it. I had the key, but I had not turned it yet. The door remained a mystery.”
Kristin Groulx, The Secret Promise: Return of the Wishing Star

“Beauty is the illumination of your soul.”
John O'Donohue, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom

“As the leaves randomly fell, she contemplated how they sacrificially gave up their essence to sustain new life. Or was it the tree’s sacrifice? Each leaf was a part of Gaia’s play. Their final act: to decompose so a new level of soil could be made, an earthen writing tablet for the next layer of history to be recorded. One generation became the groundwork for the next. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Nothing was exempt, not even the leaves.”
Jesikah Sundin, Legacy

“It's been my experience that you can nearly always enjoy things if you make up your mind firmly that you will.”
Lucy Maud Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
