I just sort of think practically. For example my story is set in our real world, so i thought where would you hide all these people? Underground is boring, and i wanted to write epic fantasy not urban fantasy. so it made sense to have them in these floating cities.

I take inspiration from anywhere, usually songs. I'll hear a song and I'll see a scene or a person or a conversation and I'll go from there. my story is inspired by a song, but to reveal what that song is would probably give the whole thing away. (less)

So the first random thought that has come to my head is this - I've seen quite a few indie books and books in general with people on the front, typically ridiculously good-looking or six-pack toting and my question is this - who are these people??? Do you get paid much for being on a book cover?

Brigid ✩ Thanks for adding me, Steven! Nice to meet you. ATLA is one of my favorite shows ever as well. Ahhh it's so hard to choose favorite episodes ... maybe The Blind Bandit (I love Toph!), also The Ember Island Players (which is where the Flying Kick-a-pow in my username comes from, haha).
