Michael grew up in the grey, wet and wild west coast of Scotland.

He began writing his debut book, The Reborn King, when he was 10. Old paper copies of terrible opening chapters may still be found in a drawer back home. Thankfully those early drafts never saw the light of day. In 2015 he renewed his writings efforts and released The Reborn King in November of that year.

Since then he has sold over 90,000 books, hit numerous Amazon bestselling charts, including the top 100 of ALL books on Amazon.com. A scene from his first book will be incorporated into the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts

Hi Timonthy,

Sorry this reply took so long - I don't check Goodreads as often as I should. It is my intention to write a follow up to Battle Spire, however, I commited to a different project before Spire even released and which I am still working on. My work as a partner at Portal Books also takes a great deal of my time.

I would absolutely love to write a sequel and I think I have a good idea now of what that would entail but I can't guarantee when it will be done.

I'm really happy you enjoyed Spire. It was such a passion project for me and to see it going down so well with readers in the genre has been very rewarding.

Best,

Getting to some big moments I've waited years to write. Dave has just completed the audio book today actually :) We'll be doing a proof and some pickups with the aim to release early in August in time with a bunch of promotions I'll be running. It's been awesome to hear some of the scenes in Veiled come to life. Dave's been on fire this time. (less)

Review of Heart of Stone by Ben Galley

This is Ben’s best book yet. Plain and simple.

Task is a 400-year-old golem; a ‘wind cut’ stone war machine who has served countless masters and fought their wars. Yet Task was always something more. His very first word, spoken just after his creation, is ‘why?’ This baffles Task’s creator:

“Fourteen golems, and you’re the first to ask ‘why’.”

And this aptly draws Task character.

Yes, he is a war mach

"Great!!

This was really really good! When dragon books have to go up against my favorite, Eragon, I’m hard pressed to find anything with the level of world building and detail in characters I’m looking for. This was great and on level with both! I loo" Read more of this review »

"Loved this book

Well written and thought out, now just need the next one. But I do enjoy fantasy/mythical creatures and realms anyway."

“Most debt gets written off with bankruptcy or death but a student loan, that shit will haunt those who you leave behind.”

“You seem to think you are broken or lesser in some way. This is a common ailment I see across nearly all players. Every human seems to want to be better than they are, self-critical to the point of self-harm when they are flawed by their very design.”
