1954 Willys Utility Wagon
1968 Chevrolet Chevelle
From Reid Cunningham, in Berea, Ohio. It was graduation day, so someone brought their special ride for the festivities. Nice to see Chevelle that is not a Super Sport. I like the less cluttered look, and the 327 is to my mind the perfect small block Chevrolet engine, delivering good power without overloading the front end with the extra weight of a big block. Autoliterate: we have posted a '72 Chevelle from Maine with the small block 350. And a sleeper of a 1976 Chevelle wagon, in Colorado Springs. Then there's this plainjane 1976 Chevelle on Deer Isle, Maine, and the '72 Chevelle SS snowbound in Vancouver.

Smoky Banff
Report from Alex Emond in Banff, on the wildfires burning in northern Alberta: "It has been smoky as hell for three days now . Prior to that it was like a gorgeous summer, but the news of fires up north meant that smoke was inevitable. I painted this smoky Vermilion with Mt Rundle scene last August ... today from the same spot you wouldn't see Rundle at all . The West needs rain, plain and simple.
1979 Chevrolet C-20
Jason Lavers sent these photos of his Maine Silverado. "No rust anymore, has a little over 5600 original miles, and she plows snow pretty well, too. I wood grained the original aluminum tail panel piece and added a subtle 67 El Camino Chevrolet emblem."

Ferrari 3 Mondial Wheelbarrow
Henry Behrens photos. Okay, okay–it's neither work truck nor wheelbarrow, just a simple, everyday Italian street rocket from the late Eighties, and parked right here in our princes-of-bio-gen neighborhood. Someone has a nostalgia thing going, maybe for a toy car they had as a baby financier. Nice to see an F-machine in not-red. We noted a Ferrari Superamerica and a Chevy Vega in the same post a while back–those two usually don't show up together, but the Vega was a nice-looking car. And you won't often find us passing along Fox News...but how about "Stash of Millions of Dollars of Ferrari Parts Found in Shipping Containers"

1930 Ford Model A Truck, Cambridge MA
We have posted before on this truck, the primal wheelbarrow. Here's a Ford Model A automobile on Deer Isle, up in Maine. And a 1930 Cabriolet, up in Nova Scotia.

1967 International Harvester
From Alex Emond, in Saskatchewan: No rust, no dings...how a workingman's truck gets to be this old, in this condition, is a mystery. Off the farm, and onto a Swift Current driveway. A utilitarian gem. AutoLiterate: We have posted many Internationals, including this R-120 and this B-110. South Saskatchewan is a rest home for these trucks. Then there was the 1960 B-100 we caught in Vancouver a while ago.

Workhorses #4: Ford F-350
From Michael Moore, in Northern California: "Looking for a working truck? Here’s an F-350 that looks pretty serious."

1954 GMC 3100 4wd
Reid Cunningham: "Manchester NH. This looks like an original-era conversion (I don't think GMC sold a 4WD at the time, but I suspect this was converted when new). The unmodified interior and single exhaust t-correct for a straight-6 reinforce that idea. And the frame looks original. I would be inclined to find wheels closer to original, but that's just me. A nice trucky truck."
AL: check this reconfigured 1953 Chevy 3100 Thriftmaster by Icon. And here's the Chevrolet 3100 we saw in Arundel, Maine last fall: as truck as truck gets.

1964 Ford Galaxie 500
From Reid Cunningham: A trip to help my daughter move out of her dorm turned up a number of nice cars in Berea, Ohio. This Galaxie 500 has the top of the line 390 which should make for some spirited performance everywhere but at the gas pump. I've owned a couple of full-sized convertibles with big V8's (a 1972 Pontiac Granville with a 455 and a 1974 Chevrolet Caprice with a 400) and I think they are perfect for effortless highway cruising with the top down. They are a kind of car (along with station wagons, personal luxury coupes and more) that have completely disappeared from the new vehicle market. What a shame!
