Mopar Sleeper

from Michael S Moore in Northern California:
"This is the 1964 Belvedere I dragged out of the woods in Colorado around 1992 to stuff a 440 into and drive, eventually, to California. I was the third owner; it never quite got sorted out [a sordid tale for another time] and I ended up selling it to a Mopar aficionado from Fallon, Nevada, after we moved to Benicia. In terms of the front suspension it would have been a better idea to settle for a 383 or even a 360 [like Judd's truck] but what did I know?  A fun car, four on the floor and, um, fast.

"The last thing I should have said about that '64 Belvedere is "gone but not forgotten"--MSM

1960 F-100

from photographer Jarrod McCabe:
"love the color on this sun-bleached '60 F100 outside greenville, NH.  The grilles on the 60 really do it for me in some weird way.
she looked ready to go -  a little rough around the edges, just as i like 'em.  Pretty damn good for new hampshire if it's a daily.  couldn't find the owner, so no details."--JM

Ford F1 and the Mossbank Hotel

From our man in south Saskatchewan: "Here are a few beasts that were lying in state behind the Mossbank hotel. It's like their owners went in to watch the Roughriders win, a couple of decades ago and forgot where they parked. The International is a fairly rare model ... I think they were prone to rust so you just don't see them around . Just north of town is Old Wives Lake, a large , shallow salty lake that is a big stopover/ feeding spot for countless migrating birds in the spring and fall . Feels very wild out there."--AE

"It's only fitting that I include a picture of The Mossbank Hotel, a magnificent destination resort, not unlike the Mazatlan "Sandals" except that there's no spa, rooms, or food, and the concierge is passed out behind the cigarette machine." Alex

1968 Country Squire

I love station wagons, and I love clean, old, original cars. So I was knocked out to find this machine here in The Netherlands. A just-like-new original 1968 Ford Country Squire with 14k miles on it. Engine is the Ford 390. This car looks untouched. Showroom new. A black-plate California car that has spent its life in a garage. The dealers who imported it to Holland changed hoses, did brakes, and replaced fluids. New battery. Everything else is original. The interior is like new. Investment-grade vinyl. The original faux-woodgrain is in perfect condition. This wagon deserves a trip via container back to the US--with that size, and that engine, it really isn't a getting-around-Holland kind of car. For sale at C&S Exclusive here in Wassenaar. They seem to specialize in classics. You can contact them at info@CS-EXCLUSIVE.NL   tel  +31 (0)70 512 17 80

1950 3/4 ton Chevy & Saskatchewan Light

from Alex Emond our man in the Canadian Rockies and the high dry old truck habitat of southwest Saskatchewan:       "I finally got out to Ponteix, Sask. just for 4 days. As you know ( I think ) I moved to a different house in Banff and that was an epic job, partly because I repainted this new house, head to toe, before moving. I was in the other place for a heavy decade so there was a lot of stuff to handle. Pretty much settled into Beaver Street and hope to get a heavy decade out of this location, if I need to. Can't predict much, it seems .     "On Saturday I drove over to Mossbank, Sask., and here was this robin's egg Chevy posing in the magic light."--AE
