Work Truck: Chevrolet 2500

Note that Boston pin-striping thing. which we have seen plenty of, and admire. You can see it in New Hampshire as well. This was on Brattle Street in Cambridge, a couple blocks from the Square.

1967 Ford F-100 SWB; 1956 Ford F-100, Malibu

Rene Balcer took the photos. Perhaps you have seen his "Seeing As"? And here's David Branch connecting this era of F-100s with the history of El Paso, Texas.

Ragged glory: 1961 Pontiac Bonneville convertible

Markus Anstadt caught the wide-track in Denver where seems to be a lot more old iron on the streets than in Cambridge, which hums with nothing but Teslas. We have posted on 1961 as the wonder year of the American automobile. For comparison, here's a 1963 Bonneville (with a four-speed manual trans) in what looks like the same paint code.

1956 Ford F-350 Stake Bed Dump Truck

President Biden was thirteen years old when this truck was built. Oldie but goodie. Truck's
on the block at Hemmings. We posted a '56 Ford COE a while back, to illustrate a beautiful kind of ugly. And a 1956 Ford F-100 from Manitoba

1967 Sunbeam Alpine, Denver.

Markus Anstadt found the car: "...an all-original Sunbeam Alpine, parked on a Denver city street. Owner says he is the 2nd and has owned in for 40+ years. Drives it regularly, too." We posted an Alpine in Maine last summer.

1965 Valiant convertible

From Reid Cunningham: "I hadn't expected to find anything interesting in the parking lot of the Vince Lombardi rest area off I95 in New Jersey, but life is full of surprises! Worthy of restoration, and I take as a hopeful sign it's getting moved to where it can be returned to its former glory."

AL: we posted a Valiant of this era from Portland, Maine a while back.

"I had My Eye On Your (1959) Imperial (you're too precious)"

Chrissy Hynde and the Pretenders, Precious.  Markus Anstadt spotted the car. Note to contributors: old metal is thin on the ground in New England in February, most of it's tucked into barns. If you are somewhere sunnier, drier and less salty, keep an eye out for Aultoliterate, and send us jpegs.  How about this '55 Imperial from Colorado Springs? And the self-conscious weirdness of the '63 Imperial we spotted in Maine.
