1960s Shasta Trailer

From Markus Anstadt: "I spotted this old trailer in a parking lot and the owner was kind enough to let me shoot the interior. Seems pretty original and certainly no modern Airstream." AL:Trailers we have known...

The View From Here: Alex Emond's Saskatchewan

Form Alex Emond, of Banff, Alberta and Ponteix, Saskatchewan: "My recent week out "east" wasn't very fruitful, as far as vehicle sightings go. The country was looking good, though, after  generous rain. Happy farmers, for now. Here's a couple of sketches from down in the Grasslands NP . Still cool but things were greening up."

Maserati Gran Turismo and Italianità

Caught the car in Harvard Square, outside a real estate shop. Owner looked famous. From Rachel Donadio's New York Review of Books piece on contemporary Italy, Meloni's Cultural  Revolution  :"Beyond the government’s rush to fill positions, there is a battle of ideas underway about nationhood, about what it means to be Italian. Meloni and her government talk frequently about patria, or fatherland. More tellingly, the fascist-era term Italianità—Italianness—has reentered political discourse. Sangiuliano wants to develop a Museum of Italianità in the Emilia-Romagna region. When I asked him to define Italianità, he told me, rather enigmatically, that it was “that special condition unique to our people in which being accustomed to beauty creates an almost innate propensity for the well made.”
For an old truck blog, we have posted our share of Maserati, including this 1967 Maserati Ghibli

Suzuki Wagon R

From Reid Cunningham: "I took a wrong turn and stumbled across some interesting vehicles in Franklin, NH.  The Suzuki van is dwarfed by the roof mounted storage box.  Given the van, along with the other vehicles are all being promoted for their right hand drive for postal delivery, I guess the box avoids the driver having to return to the mail center so frequently!"

AL: Starting to see a lot of these Japanese 4wd vans. Like this Honda Acty, the Toyota HiAce and etc.

1952 Sterling Logger

Beauiful Monster Truck. Colin Roswell Washburn caught it in the Sierra foothills. I seem to remebder being chased through the foothills by a trcuk like this. Also in the White Mountains of NH. Also Western Maine. Looks like labor-of love-restoration. Haven't seen any of these on Bring A Trailer....though there was this White hauler, a few years back.

55 Chevrolet Bel Air

We're not huge aficionados of the Tri-Five Chevys, probably because there are a lot of them out there, especially Bel Airs, and many over restored. But this cool, clean example put a smile on our faces on a bright windy May Day at York Beach, Maine. And it wasn't turquoise. No fuzzy dice that we could see, either. There was a '55 Bel Air sedan raffled off in Blue Hill, Maine a summer ago. Another for sale in Sedgwick Maine a while back. Our style is more this '66 Bel Air sleeper.
