Squares

From Reid Cunningham: " A real work truck. It's at least 37 years old.  Still  running steel wheels and bottle caps. Nothing but utility here! In Amherst NH"AL: You know we have a thing for Squarebodies, like this 1973 GMC Sierra Grande 2500 in Nevada. Couple more, here. And our TX and ME trucks:

1940 Packard, California

From Colin Washburn: "At the  Jamestown CA annual car show. Unusual to see a Packard there, as it’s mostly hot-rods. Many are to be seen at the Ironstone Vineyards Concours d’ Elegance in September. Usually a ‘41 180 is there, like my first car, that I NEVER should have sold! Blame it on the useless war (Vietnam ). I got drafted and had nowhere to store it. Sold it to a girlfriend’s brother who appreciated it and restored it to original condition. Made me glad. It was/is one heck of a fine automobile!!"
AL: see our post on Colin's Packard. And this 1950 Packard.

Another Saab Story

From Reid Cunningham: Saabs have slowly faded away from the National vehicle fleet, so it was a nice surprise to find this one at the grocery store, on vacation.  Nice original condition, must be a summer ride only with New England winter salt.  Given it was Burlington VT   I wasn't surprised to see a second Saab in the lot!!

(AL: Vermont was at one time the State of Saab. We have posted many a Saab story, like this 1971 wagon with tail fins. And the sporty Saab Sonett.

1957 Chevrolet 3100, New Hampshire

Reid Cunningham caught the truck. Speaking of '57 Chevrolets, do you recall the book about that station wagon we posted a while back? And how about this '57 3100 in our Women Who Weld post.
