Lobster Trucks at Naskeag
Mild weather for November. Lots of people hauling traps, knowing harsh weather is coming. Gear is expensive, don't want to lose it. Prices are okay, better than late summer. Last boats are being hauled--most are out already.
Looking WNW down Eggemoggin Reach
Harbor Island, across that narrow channel from Naskeag Point. Sailing through there is tricky; there are a couple mean rocks on the 'safe' side of the channel.
Ram 2500 4x4
Skiff coming in with a few bugs, most would have been taken to the dealer on Deer Isle.

1976 Chevy LUV
From Reid Cunningham "For the price-- and for the inspection sticker--I wish I was in the position to get an old fashioned mini-pickup. These were made by Isuzu for GM. Spotted in Newport NH"

1973 Opel GT
from Jonathan Welsh: "I was on my way to Deer Isle to fix a few things at the house late last month when I saw this rare bird parked outside Verona Island's famous Rock Shop."Many people growing up in the 1970s might have called the Opel GT a "baby Corvette" but I used to think it more clearly channeled Bertone (Lamborghini Miura) or Pininfarina (Ferrari Dino 246). In fact it was Brissonneau & Lotz, a French builder of locomotives and railcars, who turned out these beauties for General Motors' Opel division. "The owner confirmed this is a 1973 model -- last of the line that started in 1968. Original paint and yes, it came from the factory with those 13-inch wheels. Wow."
AL: The last Opel we posted was the hardy little Kadett, which is a whole 'nother story. No one would ever mistake the stubby K-wagen for a Lamborghini.

1950 Studebaker Commander
from Reid Cunningham: "Claremont, NH. I always feel like you should step out and give the imaginary prop a spin before you drive off." AL: we caught another 1950 Studebaker Commander a while back in Canyon, Texas. And how about this Studebaker Provincial Wagon? Or this Studebaker Hawk in Maine?

Maybe Time To Go To Canada? Fargo pickup.
From Alex Emond, in southern Saskatchewan: "An 'almost complete ' restoration of a Fargo ( Dodge) half ton . I am assuming that there's a paint job in its future. Just primer now. I have seen it in motion and its sounds good and rips around like a sports car . No idea what it has for a motor but I doubt it is the original. One day I hope to send you an update. Another from Swift Current, Saskatchewan." AL: more Fargo here.

1959 Chevrolet Impala, Cambridge
The second-to-last Chevy of the Eisenhower era in all its daring damning flash-trash style. Chevy's Batmobile. The cat's-eye Chevy. AL caught the car in Cambridge, Mass. of all place. Alex Emond found a '59 El Camino snoozing in a basement in Banff. And here's weathered West Texas Impala in Marfa. And while we're on the subject of '59 Chevys, how about this Chevrolet Viking 40 bus?

1973 MGB (roadracer)
Nice little machine, and an unexpected sight on the backroads of the Blue Hill Peninsula in late fall. We posted Bruce Willard's poem about a B a while back. Here's another we caught in Portland ME. And this GT on a snowy day in the Netherlands.
