1967 Camaro (plainjane)

  We like it because it has none of the gew-gaws that generally adhere to over-restored & precious muscle cars of the era. It's original and unfussed, with something like 42k miles. In NY State, and on the block this week at Hemmings.

Toyota Wheelbarrow, long and low.

 

From Michael Moore in the East Bay: a longbed and low Toyota. 1988? Wheelbarrows: plainjane small trucks, short on swagger, long on useful.

1991 Dodge Ram 250 Cummins Turbo Diesel. Maine.

  Unexpected sighting for January in Downeast Maine. Thought I knew every old truck in the neighborhood. The Dodge came up here from Houston. Looks as clean as clean can be. We posted another Ram 250--in Walsenburg, Colorado--back in October.

Ford Courier: the wheelbarrow truck

 

Michael Moore saw the little Ford in the East Bay: those Couriers did look a lot like Toyotas of the day. Classic wheelbarrow trucks. Less macho, more useful. Same with the Ford Ranger small trucks.

Jeep Comanche: wheelbarrow truck.

From Reid Cunningham: "I seem to be on a mission to find every surviving Jeep Comanche Pickup in Southern New Hampshire.  This one is midway between the previous 2wd basic and the full tilt 4wd top of the line I have previously seen.  It was appropriately in the Amherst NH Lowe's parking lot, on some errand that mini-trucks are perfect to manage."  

You know that at AL we do have a thing for wheelbarrow trucks.

Summer Jeep

This was in Blue Hill, Maine. Jeeps used to seem...nimble.






 

1970 Mercury Cougar XR-7

Maybe "cougar" suggests something a little less appealing, these days, but @1976-72 the Cougar was the sleek cat in FoMoCo's pony car parade. This unit dens in Cambridge.
