Kiss Me with Unspoken Love (2024)

 Kiss Me with Unspoken Love is a web series of 2 minutes episodes, putting them all together you have a 1 hour and half movie. There is not much to save in it: the main lead actors are not bad, the setting and also the wardrobe of actors is quite nice, but other than this, the plot is chopped, the events are sort of repetitive (main lead slapped at least 5 time, and kidnapped I think 3 times...); when there was the need to have more extras, they instead cutted the scene, making it awkard... and then a pet-peeve of mine: the difference in body size of the main characters, meaning, the one that should be the cute one was bigger in height and also body mass than the other. Now if this is part of the plot, and well played, it's actually sort of nice thrope (the bottom who is apparently stronger, but becomes sweet and cute during the intimate moments), but here instead it made the dynamics between the two men strange. I'm not totally failing this one, but it was sort of meh. HEA. Heat Level: 4/6.

 Let's Eat Together, Aki and Haru, 2nd Cup, is the following of the previous movie adapted from the Manga with the same title. It's the story of two roommates, during the first movie the undercurrent is bromance, and up until the end you are wondering if they will move on, remaining friends but with no romantic relationship, or if they will turn into lovers. 2nd Cup partially answer that, they both became aware of the real nature of their own feelings towards the other, but still, they don't move to a physical relationship; now let me be clear, I don't expect to see it to believe it's real, but at least a kiss? instead Aki and Haru declare to each other, decide their future life will be together, and all they do is to share an embrace that you could have given to your best friend... To summarize, I like the characters, the food porn is as usual mouthwatering, but I don't believe the romance... in the end they are very good friends. HEA. You can see it on GagaOOLala. Love in the Big City (2024)

 Is there an hidden rule saying that if South Korean have sex than there is no Happy Ending? Love in the Big City starts with a firecracker, young and healthy boy enjoying their gay life. It has also at least four prospective good romances, but nevertheless they ends all alone... Why? why you have to use handsome and good actors, a director who isn't scared to show some real sex happening, four, and I say FOUR, potential good stories, an not even one small happy ending? I know, I know, this is adult stuff, mainstream stuff, but again, are we saying that romance is not mainstream? that if they are happy than it's not a highbrow story worthy of a good production? I'm deeply disappointed. Ok, you can have a try, it's indeed good, but I wanted my romance. You can see it on Viki. Heat Level: 5/6.

Dominant Yakuza and Wimpy Corporate Slave (2024)

Being just 30 minutes long, Dominant Yakuza and Wimpy Corporate Slave (2024) should probably not being noteworthy of a mention, but I quite enjoyed this one, so much I paid the subscription to the Mov, Inc app to see it (the first 3 episodes are free, the other 7 you have to pay). It's very yaoi, very Japanese, and very silly (this Yakuza types who are really teddy bears in disguise). I found the Japanese manga online and even if it was not translated I can say it's smush, basically 6 chapters of full front sex :-) The drama is totally the opposite, just a sweet and chaste kiss at the end. The difference in mood from Manga to Drama, makes it even more sweet the Yakuza character: Asuma, aside from being a very good looking Japanese man, he is so cute in his love for Yang, always more nurturing than overwhelming. He loves Yang unconditionally, and eve when the usual misunderstanding comes up, he never questions Yang, but just accepts that something had to happen for him to behave like that. Really, really liked this one. Worthy the 5€ I spend to see it. HEA. You can see it on Mov, Inc. Heat Level: 2/6.

Sugar Dog Life (2024)

 Again a quite spicy Manga, Sugar Dog Life, adapted to a chaste drama... to give you a spoiler, if you decide to see it, they gently kiss at the very end of the last episode. Said that Sugar Dog Life is quite enjoyable, it fits in the Food-like-Love category (like Our Dinind Table and What Did You Eat Yesterday), actually I have to say that almost all the good food drama are also sexless drama... maybe Japan is soubstituting sex scene with food porn I like both character, the short, baby-faced Sakuraba Isumi, and the tall but clueless Amasawa Kyosuke. At one point I wondered if Kyosuke was really clueless or he was making his moves in a very slow pace, but no, he was really, totally clueless, to the frustration of poor Isumi. So if you want a nice and sweet, and very slow, love story with some watermouthing dishes, this is the drama right for you. HEA. Heat Level: 2/6.
