Robin M. King received her Bachelor's degree in education from Brigham Young University and has been instructing children and young adults for over ten years. When she's not writing or helping her students remember the quadratic formula, she leads a clandestine life as a mother of six. Don't tell anyone, but she's also an undercover marathoner, photographer, singer, seamstress, baker, and household appliance repairman.

Her debut novel, Remembrandt, a young adult suspense, introduces seventeen-year-old Alexandra Stewart. With her eidetic memory, Alex can't forget anything. When she solves an impossible puzzle for her Russian professor, she is catapulted into a life of cryptic codes, covert missions, and unexpected love. Check it out HERE on A

After I did more research, I loved the atmosphere and scenery of the school and Providence. And, if you've read Remembrandt, you'd know that I like a university where students and professors share close relationships.

I wish I could have gone there myself! I followed after my family legacy and chose BYU as a university, but I have an obsession with the East coast and Providence, RI. One day I will visit and would even love to pursue a graduate degree there.(less)

I've also found that reading or watching a good show can give your brain some time to relax.(less)

The Making of a Book Cover: The Girl with Two Hearts

I'm so excited that I decided to be a part of Swoon Reads and make a mock book cover for my most recent manuscript, The Girl with Two Hearts. Obviously the final published cover will probably not look anything like all my mock covers, but I wanted to share some of the ones I came up with before I decided on the final one.

I first started out with a Pinterest board of the feel for my book, which... Read more of this blog post »

I loved this book so much. I also just read it would a group of 10 kids ages 9-13 and they loved it too! I loved how the author wove in facts about monsters, but also real-life situations that a ten-year-old would go through. Such a great read!

“Secrets are like scars. The cut may no longer be there, but the scar’s white line tells a story. Unless you share it, it’s like you’re hiding a part of yourself the whole world can already see. They may not know the how or the why, but they see it just the same.”
Robin M. King, Van Gogh Gone

“This was it. This would be my final mission. An overwhelming sadness swept over me at the realization. There would be no more racing across campus to replace the missing arm of the Caesar Augustus statue with one made of pink duct tape. My mind would no longer be used as a photographic tool to unveil a terrorist’s plan. No more last-minute science experiments to help rescue a father and daughter from a terrorist organization. I wouldn’t get to rescue myself with the aid of a Millard-enhanced device. No more disguises involving wigs and glasses to save a Van Gogh painting. The Mariinsky Theatre, the Superman building, the Louvre—my stories would disappear, along with my memories. Light had vanished around me as the ocean swallowed me. I’d been unable to save a helpless girl from her evil kidnapper. In the darkness I heard Daly’s voice, clear and strong, almost like he was there. Don’t give up. Fight. Push yourself. Alexandra Stewart can make a masterpiece out of any canvas. He was right—I couldn’t give up. (page 206)”
Robin M. King, Memory of Monet

“Before a secret is told, one can feel the weight of it in the atmosphere.”

“You stole my heart the night we met, when you sang that ridiculous song and dared me not to laugh. and every moment I have spent with you since then, you have stolen more and more of me until when you're not with me..." He drew in a breath. "When you are not with me, I am left with nothing but longing for you.”
