David Millar was a science journalist and editor before starting to write fiction. His first book 'Beyond Dubai: Seeking Lost Cities in the Emirates' was the best-selling book about Dubai on Amazon for several years.

His new novel 'The Ministry for Ignoring Climate Change' is a satire about the politics of climate change and the surprising motivations people have for wanting to combat it ... or deny it.

He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in 2016.
