When not immersed in books — be it writing or reading them — Ainat can usually be found nestling a cup of coffee in the company of her husband and twins.
A former fast-food employee, T-shirt seller, and glorified secretary, Ainat eventually found herself with Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in law and working as a lawyer.
A few years later, listening to a catchy pop song about dream fulfillment, Ainat decided to buy a clunky little laptop and get to work. I find inspiration in thoughts, images, paintings, dreams, certain phrases ....
Sometimes I feel as if I'm constantly trying to catch up with the ideas in my head. I always have a notebook on hand, in case my iPhone is charging or is otherwise engaged. If I don't record the ideas immediately, they tend to flitter away, never to come back in the same form.
This proves especially frustrating when I'm lying in bed, ready to sleep. Just the thought of hauling myself out of bed seems insurmountable, but seeing as some of my best plot twists and dialogues have come from denying myself much needed sleep, I usually succumb to the inevitable.(less)

More of A.'s books…
Salman Rushdie
“I am the sum total of everything that went before me, of all I have been seen done, of everything done-to-me. I am everyone everything whose being-in-the-world affected was affected by mine. I am anything that happens after I'm gone which would not have happened if I had not come.”
Salman Rushdie, Midnight's Children

Shel Silverstein
“If you have to dry the dishes
(Such an awful boring chore)
If you have to dry the dishes
('Stead of going to the store)
If you have to dry the dishes
And you drop one on the floor
Maybe they won't let you
Dry the dishes anymore”
Shel Silverstein, A Light in the Attic
