BTSCelebs to Review T.I. Lowe’s “Indigo Isle” This Winter
BTSCelebs will celebrate the first half of the new year with a brand new novel!
Bestselling author T.I. Lowe returns to her love of novel writing with her upcoming title “Indigo Isle.” The contemporary romance promises to be about a Hollywood location scout meeting a feared resident of a private barrier island. Hopefully, I’ll get to read about their distinctive first meeting, developing relationship and be formally introduced to this intriguing Indigo Isle.
A complete review will appear on BTSCelebs in the coming months. In the meantime, read BTSCelebs’ reviews of her past novels “Beach Haven,” “Driftwood Dreams,” “Sea Glass Castle” and my exclusive interview with T.I. Lowe.
“Indigo Isle” will be released on June 6th, 2023.

Review: Patricia Raybon’s “Double the Lies”
In February, Patricia Raybon continues Annalee Spain’s 1920s tale in “Double the Lies.” The young and black detective has to overcome crime and racism in a historical Colorado.
“Double the Lies” starts off with Annalee Spain enjoying her favorite mystery book in a local library. After witnessing a heated conversation between a young couple, who happen to be white, she consoles the wife Rebecca and accompanies her home. Shockingly, Rebecca’s husband is found dead in the home. Annalee is framed for the murder and must find his killer, before she’s put in jail. The entire book follows her never ending manhunt and several puzzling suspects. She even receives hate mail from an anonymous person, who is trying to stop her investigation. While Annalee searches the neighborhood, flies in a plane and stays at Rebecca’s uncle home for a number of days, the victim’s twin brother falls head over heels in love with her. This is very convenient, because her steady beau (pastor Jack) is missing during the entire ordeal.
Like Stephen Curry said about “All That Is Secret,” “Double the Lies” is another book you won’t want to stop reading. The story draws you end from the very beginning, and you’ll never guess who the true criminal is until the author discloses it. I recommend “Double the Lies” to big mystery and suspense fans of all ages.
“Double the Lies” is scheduled to be released on February 7th, 2023.

Movie Review: Cameron Arnett and Chris Nelson’s “FIRST RESPONDERS”
This week, “FIRST RESPONDERS” made its grand entrance in movie theaters across the country. The special event may be over, but BTSCelebs’ review is just beginning. Before it premieres on Pure Flix, I’ll let you know the highlights.
“FIRST RESPONDERS” illustrates a few shocking stories firefighters and police officers live through and dealing with the PTSD aftermath. Counselor Karen (Karen Boles) helps her patients work through their trauma, while her husband, firefighter Mark (Chris Nelson), is tormented by a heartbreaking loss on the job. Karen’s close friend, police officer Nia (Mari White), gets tragically injured during a routine traffic stop and her family has to pick up the pieces. Darnell (Cameron Arnett) is Nia’s devoted husband and loving father to their two children.
The characters’ PTSD is shown in a variety of ways, but the point of the film is their road to restoration. Prayer, counseling and more are some of the avenues many of them discover to hopefully obtain inner peace. The film ends with real life first responders sharing their personal stories. Their encounters are eye-opening.
“FIRST RESPONDERS” is a tearjerker, and it will take you on an emotional roller coaster. However, it humanizes the everyday heroes in our lives and allows viewers to feel a little more compassion for them.
A Special Thanks to Biscuit Media Group and Engage Media Partners for the image and film screener.
