M Is For MAGICAL

A to Z Challenge MAGICAL
Many moons ago when I was into the whole 'Law of Attraction' path I had this dream of opening my own new-age, hippy-type shop and I decided it would be called MAGIC HAPPENS. I had seen bumper stickers like this when I travelled around Australia in my year out after University. The Law of Attraction back then made everything magical to me, for I believed magic lay in the dreams and desires of my future inspired thinking. I thought (much like the move 'The Secret') I could sit o...

L Is For LOVE

AtoZCHALLENGE L is for LOVE infatuation
Love. It's in every person, accessible to all, experienced by all, but for the purpose of this post I am going to discuss the love between lovers or partners.

I hold my hand up and say I had never experienced love like this until recently. I am 39 this week and while some may experience this type of love early on, I was not one of these. I also feel that love shows up when we are ready.

K Is For KOOKY

AtoZChallenge K is for KOOKY Crazy
KOOKY =strange or eccentric.
KOOKY - this word makes me smile. Even though it's spelt with a K, my immediate thought was the Cookie Monster, completely irrelevant to the theme of feelings, but I just have to add an image for effect (wide grin) and the Cookie Monster is very kooky in my eyes.

J Is For JUDGEMENTAL

AtoZChallenge Judgemental Judgmental
We judge. We are human. We often judge a lot! Those more enlightened among us perhaps judge less, but judging is the way we compare and contrast. For example: I might say of someone: 'I judge that behaviour to be unacceptable to me'. So I may choose to avoid that person and not behave like that myself - BUT, and it's a big but, this does not mean that the person is bad. It simply means that their behaviour is not to my liking, but to them, it's perfect. It's perfect becaus...

I Is For INSECURE

Insecurity is a fact of life. So few people, unless enlightened from birth, feel secure throughouttheir lives.I feel this world makes it almost impossible to feel secure all of the time, life in its essence is insecure because life is always changing, the world around us moves and shifts and our thoughts are never the same. The only thing that is not shifting is the awareness that is beyond all space and time and form.Read more »

H is for HAPPINESS

AtoZChallenge H is for HAPPINESS
Happiness - a simple topic right? No! Happiness could be seen as something we all feel and that we all should have as our goal in life, but what if happiness is simply a transient feeling that cannot be pinned down or added to a list of goals in life?

G is for GRIEF

AtoZChallenge G is for GRIEF
For those of you who know grief, you will need no explanation, but those who are yet to experience the heart-wrenching grief of losing a loved one to death or separation in some other way may like to follow my journey through grief.

My earliest experience of grief due to the death of a loved one took place when I was 16 years old. My nanna died (grandmother) and several months later my other nanna died. At the time my first nanna died my sister was only 3 years old and we were at nanna's h...

F is for FREEDOM

Many people may have vivid feelings of freedom as a child, me? Not so much. I remember playing and having fun as a young child, but I was also racked with this feeling of physical restriction, like I was held back by something. I used to walk with a bent back, never held my head high because of life experiences early on and being picked on for being tall. Freedom was something I craved, more than anything I crave to express myself freely.

E is for Embarrassment

Embarrassed dragon A to Z Challenge
As a perpetual blusher, embarrassment is something that has been a regular event in my life. I can't remember a time when I did not blush, even during my early childhood I was very shy, hiding behind my mother and going red in the face at any sense of attention from others.

At the moment I am more able to embrace the blushing feeling, but I question it because I know feelings of shame and embarrassment are part of the experience for me.

D is for DESIRE

A to Z Challenge D is for DESIRE
Desire is such a sexy word to me right now.

In the past, desire tended to be a feeling I resisted and found challenging because I had spent a very long time in my life with unmet desires. I found that my desires were strong and powerful and I watched as friends and people around me had their desires fulfilled and I stood by the side of the road with empty hands. Desire can feel harmful to us when we look to others, to material objects and events to make us happy, but desire as an energy can be...
