Christopher Paolini was born on November 17, 1983 in Southern California. He has lived most of his life in Paradise Valley, Montana with his parents and younger sister, Angela. The tall, jagged Beartooth Mountains rise on one side of Paradise Valley. Snowcapped most of the year, they inspired the fantastic scenery in the Inheritance Cycle.

Christopher is grateful to all his readers. He is especially heartened to hear that his books have inspired young people to read and to write stories of their own. Although Christopher will one day return to Alagaësia, he is currently working on a science fiction novel. My book tour for Eldest ended in Rome, where my sister and I were able to visit our great aunt and uncle and a flock of cousins for the first time. We walked all over the city and saw sights that we had only seen in pictures before. History in Rome is as close as the cobblestones under your feet. It was amazing! Threads of Italian culture, such as love of the arts, a strong family, speaking one's mind, a sense of humor, and good home cooking tie me to my Italian heritage.(less)

This is another of my favorite and lesser known fantasy novels. Evangeline Walton's work had a big influence on how I approach descriptions, which you can probably see most clearly in Inheritance when Eragon visits Vroengard island.

Himayath Nuzraan I was born in November too!

Himayath Nuzraan Remeber, you are an inspiration.

Himayath Nuzraan My questions:
1: What is your inspiration?
2. If you weren't a writer what would you be?
3. A favourite author?
4. How is your new sci-fi novel going?
5. Any motivation for young author out in the world?

Himayath Nuzraan Hello, Paolini, can you answer some of these questions?
You know I'm 11 and I have written three books and now I am starting a magazine from my company too and you know in my magazine we have each week an interview with a celebrity/ famous person. I thought, how about start with a person like you. I really hope you can consider this, thank you so much!
